MAKKHA - Design Studio
Design based on the idea of connecting the lifestyle of art, innovation and design with a new perspective. Research and develop materials in the name of ‘Makkha Design Studio’ (Since 2019).
‘Makkha Design Studio’ was founded by two designers from the luxury accessories and craft design business. Parit Niruttisard and Sopanut Somrattanakul, were graduated from the Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silpakorn University, Functional Arts Major. According to their material methodology interest, we focus on how to blend design, innovation and craft together.
‘Makkha’ Came from the word ‘มคฺค’ in Pali language mean path or route. As a design studio, we act as the path of many things and dedicate ourselves to pass on oriental culture and philosophy through our works to modern society.
Our Designers
Parit Niruttisard-Designer who use the concept of art and philosophy as perception to create and design objects So the object can represent their own unique style and story.
Graduated from Faculty of Decorative Art, Applied Art Studies Majoring, Silpakorn University, Second-class honors.
Sopanut Somrattanakul-Fine craft designer with craft and innovative design product development expertise. Design based on the idea of combining ‘Craft’,
‘Innovation’ and ‘Design’ together along with sustainable design movement.
Graduated from Faculty of Decorative Art, Applied Art Studies Majoring, Silpakorn University, First-class honors with Gold Medal. On 2019, he was awarded 'The Winner', Innovative Crafts Awards 2019 competition held by The Sustainable Arts and Crafts Institute of Thailand (SACICT).
